Holiday Fun 2014
Hello, my lovelies!
Okay, so it’s apparently been a while since I’ve posted anything to my personal blog. I had intended for this to be an avenue for me to share my thoughts but between my own insecurities and being busier and busier with work I haven’t dedicated as much time to it as I thought I would.
Anyway, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas have come and gone and the New Year is just around the corner. I took a week off for Christmas to spend time with the kiddos and it was really nice.
Through the holiday season, we did a few really fun things together. I can’t believe how much the kiddos have changed over this past year, as have I. We have all grown and changed in ways I wasn’t sure we would reach … but we did ... and we are so much happier and better for it.
So what kinds of things did we do through the holiday season.
Well … let’s see …
Halloween
We went to Neltner’s Farm and Shaw Farm to enjoy the pumpkin fests. Both had live bluegrass music, corn mazes, pumpkins galore, hay rides, and more. We had loads of fun, and of course, there was trick-or-treat on Halloween for my little ladybug who was a graveyard bride or something of that sort this year.
Thanksgiving
At Thanksgiving, we had a quiet family dinner at home, and then we had another Thanksgiving Dinner at my brother's house.
Christmas
And for Christmas, we went to Amy and Mia’s house to bake Christmas cookies with the girls and to help Amy light lanterns in remembrance of her mom. Joe and I took Grace to a train display. Then we went to my brothers for Christmas eve and spent a quiet Christmas at home.
